Crepe Glitter Candle Tutorial...I've got that Christmas Spirit!

A little embellishment goes a long way!
These candles can be found on my etsy store, Whim & Fancy Designs, However I have this simple little tutorial for you to make your very own Glittered Crepe Candles for this Holiday season.
This crepe embellishment is quite simple and makes for a terrific girls night out and super gift giving.
Supplies needed:
1. Taper candles (any size)
2. Glitter(super fine) it makes for a prettier candle! I love Martha's glitter, an array of colors to choose from
3.Aileen's Super tacky craft glue
4. 2 yards of creped ruffle available on my etsy site or your own
5. Embellishments of your choosing, vintage flora, mini ornaments, ribbons, etc.
6. Paint brush for glue
7. Hot glue gun & glue sticks
First you begin with glittering your candles, you will have to do this one half of candle at a time, unless you have a vice , which makes your task much easier.
Once you have the entire candles glittered and thoroughly dried, which takes up to a couple of hours. You will hot glue the crepe ruffle (not the candle), wait a few seconds then begin to twirl your crepe ruffle around the bottom of the candle as you go ( an inch above the vertical ridges where the candle sets in the candle sticks).
Once you have twirled desired amount around the candle, you can begin to embellish the top edge of creped ruffle.
Voila, you have a glittered creped candle!
I hope this inspires you to create an inspirational holiday treat for yourself or loved ones!

Hi everyone!
I would like to introduce you to someone who holds a very special place in my heart....My nephew Cruz! He will be turning two this weekend and he will also be taking part in very special event called the Buddy Walk 2008.
The Buddy Walk is DSNetwork's biggest fundraiser and it's largest annual event. It raises funds necessary to support the programs of DSNetwork and the research, education and advocacy efforts of the National Down Syndrome Society. The primary goal is to raise awareness and acceptance of people with Down syndrome in our community. The walk will take place this Saturday and will start at the same time as the ASU Homecoming Parade on November 15, 2008 in Tempe Arizona!

Cruz's Mommy and Daddy are huge advocates for the DSNetwork and have setup a special place for anyone who wishes to donate whatever they can to help the cause.
Because I know I recieve alot of traffic through my blog, someone will help! All donations are welcome, no donation is ever too small.

Oh! Jackie "O"

I know Jackie "O" would love these pill box hats! These little beauties are my tribute to her! They are all hand creped and machine sewn. Each design was done with love and inspiration that my daughters gave me everytime one of them tried one on and asked me how they looked...."Lovely, just lovely", I told them. ~ Ann-Denise, Queen of Crepe

!!**~TrICk Or TReaT oR cRAfT~**!!

It's October 18th and it's time for Vanessa Valencia's of A Fanciful Twist, Halloween party! Get out your brooms, capes, and shake out those striped stockings and get geared up for an eventful weekend of spooks, witches, and the everlasting pumpkin filled with candy. Sit back, relax and grab some candy corn and enjoy the "Love in Space-Overture"!

I always begin decorating with my tide and true Christmas balls, I have every color imaginable! Their shape, color, and sparkle bring back childhood memories of good times with family and friends! These little glass delicacies are not just for Christmas, ya' know!

As for the chandeliers in my house...they're part of the family, they are the earrings of my house! I deck them out every holiday with whatever tickles my fancy at the time! Tulle is always an inexpensive way to begin the foundation! As long as you have floral wire , pliers and a good foundation, you can produce visual eye candy for all your guest to enjoy!

I think I'll make a pair of witches boots out of these little wooden molds.

Think they'll fit?

Time to begin our journey!

My Halloween bubble lights which I cherish to death have lighted the way for you!

Halloween D'Paris......How chic!

Party lights are on and it's time to party!

Now what's a party without candy? I never heard of such a thing! That's absurd! You must always supply your guests with a little of the sweet stuff, even if does require a trip to the dentist...haha!

Game faces on .......Party on!!!!!

I seem to have misplaced my eyeballs....have you seen them?

I brought some rose colored glasses just for you, it would such a shame if you didn't see things my way...hehe

Now for my teeth....where did I put those little buggers!

Ahhhh...the food has finally arrived, please take two if you like, I'm not greedy!

Aren't they cute!!! Remember what they say about two birds of a feather!
It's craft time!!!!!!!!!

This was made especially for Sharon of My Vintage Studio, Think she'll like it?

This Charmed banner was made for Glitter and Grunge October Artist Challenge!

One of my custom made crepe spun stars made for a very special client!

Does someone feel a little under dressed...hehe

OOOOhhh, I feel so beautiful...Don't you? Because you are!!!!

Say Cheese!

uh oh...... I think someone had to much candy!

I think it's almost time to say goodbye, last family pic!

Wishing you all a terrific Halloween and a bucket full of candy!

As always Vanessa, It was a pleasure and your party was devine! Goodbye, Thank you for stopping by and Come Again soon!

One last note........Always BELIEVE! It's the dreamers and the imagination movers that keep this world a colorful and happy place to be, for it is up to us to keep the inspiration alive and vibrant for all those who are trying to find their way!
